As an Archivist within the European Institutions, you will
shape the document archiving policy relating to a continent.
From leading your own team of Archivists to managing some
far-reaching projects e.g. defining description standards
or ensuring long-term electronic preservation, you can expect
constant challenge and considerable influence.
To join us, you will need a degree level education,
including at least one year's formal training in archival
sciences or document management, plus at least three years'
professional experience in archiving or records management.
In particular, you will be skilled in motivating teams,
driving projects and implementing international standards,
whilst focusing on maintaining high standards for customer
service and effective communication.
Finally, it is vital that you are fluent in one of the official
European Union languages, as well as having a good
command of English, French or German.

The archivist roles in this selection procedure have a basic
salary starting at €4,828 (gross) a month. Depending on
your personal situation, you may also be eligible for a family
allowance and financial support to help you move to Brussels
or Luxembourg.
